Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using Bounce Protect.
Important
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Bounce Protect. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Bounce Protect platform at https://bounceprotect.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and references to “you” include both you individually and the organisation.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
2. Description of Service
Bounce Protect provides an email validation and list intelligence platform that allows users to validate email addresses, analyse email list quality, and receive signals about deliverability risk, spam filter risk, and company intelligence associated with email domains.
The Service includes a web dashboard, REST API, bulk CSV upload, deep domain analysis, and related features as described on our website. Features and functionality may change over time at our discretion.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service, except as set out in these Terms.
3. Accounts
Account registration
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering and to keep this information up to date.
Account security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@bounceprotect.com if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
API keys generated for your account are your responsibility. You must keep them secure and not share them publicly or in client-side code. If an API key is compromised, revoke it immediately from your dashboard.
Account sharing
Your account is for your personal or organisational use only. You may not share your account credentials with others. Team features are available on Agency and Scale plans for multi-user access.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Service to validate email lists for the purpose of sending unsolicited bulk email (spam), phishing messages, or other abusive communications
- Upload email lists that were obtained without the consent of the recipients, in violation of applicable anti-spam laws (including CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR), or through scraping, harvesting, or deceptive collection methods
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network associated with the Service without our written consent
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or the data contained therein
- Circumvent any access controls, rate limits, or usage restrictions
- Use the Service to build a competing product or service
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organisation
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
You represent and warrant that any email list you upload complies with all applicable laws, including anti-spam regulations, and that you have a legitimate basis for processing the email addresses in the list.
5. Credits and Billing
Credit system
The Service operates on a credit-based system. Each email validation consumes one credit. Credits are deducted at the time of validation, regardless of whether the validation yields a definitive result.
Credit expiry
Welcome credits granted on signup expire after one year from the date of account creation. Subscription credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over. Credit pack purchases expire one year from the date of purchase. We will not retroactively change expiry terms on credits you have already purchased.
Subscription billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Your subscription renews automatically on the same date each month unless cancelled. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge the payment method on file on a recurring basis.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for unused credits or partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law.
Price changes
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice of price changes via email to the address associated with your account. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of a price change constitutes your acceptance of the new pricing.
Taxes
All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes. You are responsible for paying all taxes associated with your use of the Service as required by applicable law.
6. Intellectual Property
Our intellectual property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Bounce Protect and its licensors. Our trademarks, service marks, logos, and trade names may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.
Your data
You retain all rights to the data you upload to the Service. By uploading data, you grant us a limited licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim any ownership over your uploaded data.
Feedback
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use and incorporate that feedback into the Service without compensation to you.
7. Your Data
Your use of the Service involves the processing of data. Our Privacy Policy describes in detail how we collect, use, and protect your data.
You are responsible for ensuring that any data you upload to the Service is processed in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including obtaining any necessary consents and providing required notices to individuals whose data you process.
Individual email rows from your uploads are automatically deleted 30 days after upload. Upload summaries and account data are retained until account deletion.
8. API Usage
API access is available on Agency and Scale plans. Your use of the API is subject to these Terms and the following additional conditions:
- You must not exceed the rate limits applicable to your plan. Exceeding rate limits may result in temporary suspension of API access.
- API keys must be kept secure. You are responsible for all API calls made using your keys.
- You must not use the API to build a service that substantially replicates the functionality of Bounce Protect.
- We reserve the right to modify the API at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of breaking changes via our changelog at bounceprotect.com/docs.
- The API is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee 100% uptime for API endpoints, though we strive for high availability.
9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Email validation is inherently probabilistic. While we use multiple signals and data sources to provide accurate results, no email validation service can guarantee 100% accuracy. Results should be used as guidance and not as a definitive determination of email deliverability.
Company intelligence data is sourced from third-party datasets and is provided for informational purposes only. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of company data.
10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BOUNCE PROTECT, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (CAD $100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bounce Protect and its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms, your use of the Service, or your uploaded data.
12. Termination
Termination by you
You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and requesting account deletion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Credits remaining in your account at termination are forfeited and are not refundable.
Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you materially breach these Terms. We may also terminate accounts that have been inactive for 12 months or more, with 30 days’ advance email notice.
Effect of termination
Upon termination for any reason, we will delete your uploaded data within 30 days. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at hello@bounceprotect.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve any dispute within 30 days.
If informal resolution fails, any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days’ notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date and by sending an email notification to the address associated with your account.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
